You are caring for a resident with hemiplegia. He is paralyzed on his right side after a stroke. The resident has a catheter and is incontinent of bowel.
You are getting the resident ready for the day. He slept in a hospital gown, but wants to wear a set of blue jeans and a button-down shirt today. He had a bowel movement overnight and requires cleanup as well as peri-care.
Describe the morning care you will provide for this resident. What steps are necessary to help this resident, and in what order?
Create a step-by-step list of the types of care this resident will require. You do not need to use complete sentences. This could be done in a google doc, as a powerpoint, as an attachment - the format of your response is up to you.
